Charter Technology Solutions

Your First 90 Days with CTS

What you actually receive when you sign with Charter Technology Solutions, from contract signature through the delivery of your Strategic Technology Assessment on Day 90.

See the Roadmap

Most MSP onboardings end when the tools are deployed.

Ours ends when you have a written diagnosis of your entire environment.

Over 90 days, CTS runs a structured onboarding that delivers six stacked layers of work: tools deployment, cloud migration, physical discovery, endpoint processing, people and process documentation, and your Strategic Technology Assessment.

The first five layers are how we get from contract signature to a fully managed environment. The sixth is what makes CTS different: a written, prioritized, board-ready document that captures everything we found and what to do about it.

The Journey

Five Phases. Ninety Days.

Each phase builds on the last. Each delivers something concrete.

Day 1 - 7

Foundation

Eyes on your environment from week one.

CTS deploys its monitoring and security stack across your infrastructure and endpoints. Admin access is verified on every platform you use. Your first CTS Service Device ships to your site.

  • Remote monitoring and management deployed across all servers and supported endpoints
  • Endpoint detection and response active on every supported device
  • Backup and recovery jobs running and verified
  • Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administrative access confirmed
  • CTS Service Device installed on-site, providing continuous network visibility
Day 8 - 21

Discovery

We learn your environment to a depth nobody else does.

Two structured audits capture your environment. The Technical Environment Audit covers domains, cloud tenants, security stack, networks, and devices. The People and Process Audit captures your staff roster, distribution lists, SOPs, and access policies. Engineers walk every IT room with cameras and notebooks. Cloud tenant ownership transfers into CTS-managed portals.

  • Technical Environment Audit (DG1): domains, cloud tenants, security stack, networks, devices
  • People and Process Audit (DG2): staff roster, distribution lists, SOPs, access policies
  • Physical IT documentation: MDF and IDF photos, rack diagrams, switch and power port maps
  • Cloud tenant ownership transferred: Microsoft 365 GDAP, Google Super Admin, Apple Business Manager
  • Network management platforms moved into CTS-managed dashboards
Day 22 - 45

Onboarding

Every system, every device, brought under management.

Network, server, voice, and physical security infrastructure are validated, documented, and brought under CTS monitoring. Staff and student devices are processed: enrolled in CTS tools, inventoried, room-assigned, and made fully supportable.

  • Network infrastructure documented: firewalls, switches, wireless, ISP details
  • Servers, storage, and voice systems inventoried and validated
  • Physical security systems documented: cameras, access control, building integrations
  • Staff laptops, tablets, and workstations processed and enrolled
  • Student device fleets reconciled, enrolled, and properly room-assigned
Day 46 - 60

Standardization

How your IT actually runs becomes documented.

SOPs that previously lived in tribal knowledge are written down and validated. Application and workstation standards are documented and approved by your team. Distribution lists are populated and routing tested. Your environment is now genuinely supportable, not just monitored.

  • User onboarding and offboarding SOPs documented
  • Workstation imaging and deployment standards documented
  • Student onboarding and student device SOPs documented (where applicable)
  • Application and workstation standards approved by your team
  • Per-site distribution lists populated: Primary Contacts, Finance, Onsite Task List, Repairs
Day 61 - 90The Headline Deliverable

Your Strategic Technology Assessment

The diagnostic deliverable that turns CTS into your strategic partner.

At Day 90 you receive a complete written diagnosis of your environment, with everything we found prioritized by urgency and a recommended action plan. Your board and leadership team will want to see this. It becomes the working agenda for your first year with CTS.

  • Complete environment inventory: network, servers, devices, applications, cloud tenants, vendors
  • Prioritized remediation list ranked High, Medium, Low, with each item ticket-tracked
  • Future Projects backlog with reasoning for year-1 and multi-year planning
  • Operational SOPs and standards documentation index
  • Strategic Advisor handoff into your year-1 cadence
Day 91 and beyond

Onboarding closes.
The partnership starts.

Your assigned Service Delivery team handles ongoing support. Your Client Manager and Strategic Advisor own the relationship. The Future Projects backlog from your Strategic Technology Assessment becomes the working agenda for your year-1 roadmap and beyond.

This is the difference between an IT vendor and a strategic technology partner.
